F's nikah

What an eventful weekend!! Woke up at 7am, thinking it was atleast 9am, and forced myself to go back to sleep. F was nervous before we went to bed mayb because of her Nikah the next day...or because of her craving for yogurt every night. Greek low fat natural yogurt- the best to make lassi with apparantly.

The day of the Nikah was like any other i guess. Just felt like a dawat at my house except the fact that F's mum wouldn't let me do anything. She refused to let me wash dishes saying i was a guest, even though i have there 3 weeks now!! I did however make the salad- i really hate making salad cos different people like it in different ways and i didn't want to get it wrong for F's big day!! I decided to wear black...and F white. She looked very angelic- even if she was pissed off that the groom's side couldn't come on time!! They were atleast an hour late-which is normal. But not when it's a small Nikah in the mosque and the Imam can't possibly stay there all day waiting to marry someone off!!

After from that small hitch everything else went smoothly...i think. Not that i was there- i had to meet my friends from Uni. What an excuse!?!! But we'd been planning this for months...even before exams had started! It's always me that ends up cancelling so i thought this time i can't let them down even if it is F's wedding day! We went to Ruislip Lido (small little lake-type-beach-area) and then went to Astha's bbq in her house in Northwood. MashaAllah her house was amazing!!(are you allowed to say that to a hindu-house?!!). It was the type of house you see on MTV Cribs. It had a fountain thing at the front of the house...her garden was amazing! It has a fountain-water feature...wooden decks...had huge trees making the garden private...and the grass was extremely green idicating that they obviously have been ignoring the hose-pipe ban!! It was so nice. Just the type of garden that you could play football in or put up a marquee and get married. Her bedroom was amazing too- with her own little ensuite. I had a tour of the house when i had to go pray magrib. The food was nice- it was halal Yippee!! and people weren't drunk!! We left fairly late but it was nice to see people from uni again...

After the party i stayed over at Reenas. We ended up dressing me up in my outfit that im wearing to dance in- including the hair and bangles. It is so much easier dancing in joggers!! She even plastered make-up on me!! We took photos and filmed as much of the dance as we could. I must say that the outfit is amazing!! For those of you lucky enough to see it i hope you think so too!! But do also notice my dance- i've been working so hard on it!! Still haven't managed to finish it off though! You wouldn't believe how long it takes to practice a dance- especially when you've never danced to bollywood before!! Reena is busy this week so only have today to practice with her and to perfect by Friday as the big day is on Saturday evening...got to trek it to Slough in the morning to get to Aishca's walima!! What the hell do i get her?!!

Also went to play crazy golf yesterday- it was so much fun!! Came 4th out of 5 people. Playing golf shall be my new hobby as Tiger Woods has gone into retirement!!

5 WHOLE MINUTES actually!!! you know what (Amani atyle)...i've only had 2hrs+5hrs+2hrs+4hrs= 13hrs of practice with Reena for the dance. Which isn't that much according to her!! Oh well, as long as you think its great!!

Man, I can't wait to see this dance! 13 hours is enough practice to make it look good.

most of the that time was spent on getting my feet right!! Then getting my fingers to touch the sky... i am still in pain and i don't think my stamina has improved in any way!!
