our first roadtrip
it was amazing!!! Can't believe it was so easy driving up to Mcr...all up the M6, down some A roads...then M56 (i think)...hey Presto! we're in Mcr. A place i like to call home. Seriously felt great driving up to Mcr with Eco as my assisstant pilot- not that i needed directions, kinda knew the way there once i was on the M6. We had both missed Mcr- dunno what exactly we missed but there is just something about that place... except the smell of Wimslow Road!! Never realsied how bad the smell was before...
Went staright over to number 25 to find that noone was there to welcome us home except the new tenant who wasn't obviously as happy as we were!! We then went over to MSV (a.k.a. Toledo) to Ayesha and Syra's flat. They live with two other randomers...in this small but cosy flat. They were cooking away with Zzze and Anjeza helping out. Me, being a Princess and having driven for 2hrs, refused to lift a hand. I am now a GUEST in Mcr so demand to be treated in this way!! It did feel like me and Eco were a newly married couple coming to visit relatives...sweet really.
The girls had an iftar party- met some old faces and new faces too. Such a smll world!! Met my friend's (from Bham) little sister- couldn't believe that she was at uni!! It was nice to see her...plus, had to drop her off to the coach station as she was going home for the weekend. I told her about the Funfare tickets with NationalExpress and any other tip i could remember just to help her out in Mcr but she seems to be proper settled in!! Gave a few other people a lift too- i felt like my mother(a.k.a. taxi driver). I didn't mind though- practice in my car. Also met this really nice sister called Aneesa. She's the one that lives with Pink's family. Went to pick up her toothbrush so popped in to see Ayesha, Israa and Aunti. Went round the next day with Eco to see Pink. Again, it felt as though we were a newly married couple doing the rounds...i have now taken the role of hubby!!
So, we obviously did some ISlamic stuff whilst we were in Mcr, right?!! I mean, it is Ramadan.... well, NO!! We did absolutely nothing. Is this what we did for 3 years of our life?!! I think we needed Anisa or Aneeka to kick our butts and stop us from watching absolutely rubbish on TV!! We had some talk on ISlam...i think...at about 2am!! Next time it shall be more worthwhile!! Plus, this time we didn't get to eat on Wimslow Road as much. We did our religious visit to Chicken Cottage and then for Iftar on Saturday we all marched to different take-aways (*Kobeda Kebab from Sadaf.....*) to grab something to eat and made it back on time for X-factor (astaghfirullah, astaghfirullah, astaghfirullah).
On Sunday we woke up after 12 and got ready and then left for Bham. Only took 2hrs to get back. Eco, along with HUBBY, was then invited by my dad to come over one time to stay the night and have dinner. They can obviously have the downstairs bedroom!! We then went to an iftar party at the Sunday School the kids go to. The place was packed full of Arabs...and Pakis. The food was nice- mum took loads home (and you wonder where i get it from?!). We then went to read taraweeh at the locl mosque- was empty and the recitation wasn't as great! Then woke up early to come to uni. Gotta go dry my soaking skirt now and see if there are any sisters in the prayer room....

I'm so upset I didn't get to see you in Manchester! Had a crazily busy weekend this time. Let me know next time inshAllah...you can come and stay over at my house if the new people at number 25 aren't happy about you being there!
I was going to visit Pink's house - but I'm too scared to now! I think her mum's going to shout at me for her involvement with YM - but it's not my fault!
