First and foremost, i would like to welcome Syra into the blogging world (her link is on the side). Now there'l be one more blog to read when im bored!! Not that her blog'l be boring...actually, if its based on the types of books she reads (ahem!) it's most probably going to be 'fairytaley' and on love and romance and things of that nature! Plus, her complaining about her degree!!
Well...i shall now complain about trying to get a job!!! Seriously, need to start applying to places again. Now i've decided that most probably i'd like to go into accounting. >sigh< ...because i'll get my qualifications after like 3years, there'l always be a need for accountants, and i can do it part-time after having my 2 kids! Banking is SO not be me...plus i get all (can't think of a word) because my job may not be halal! STRESS! what do i do? Citigroup finally rang yday! I didn't get the position- i am so gutted! even though i wasn't going to take the offer straight away cos would have had to find out if the job i was going to be doing is halal or not...i mean, what are the chances it was going to be?!! Found out that Citigroup is the biggest bank in the US and by default makes it the biggest bank in the world. Imagine me working for the biggest bank in the world.Heh! LOL anyway, wasn't meant to be! The HR woman gave me feedback and said that all three of my interviews went really well. I apparenty have very good verbal communication...i can talk about anything...and im apparently confident! But what let me down was the Case Study i had to do. My presentation was fine but the guy i had to present to said that he wanted to see more 'thought-processes' (whateva that means?!!). Anyway, good experience i guess.
Went to Mcr this weekend. That place makes me so happy. Actually rained when i got off the train...even that made me happy cos i felt i was home again! Went to Bolton to see Fatima. She's so sweet...everytime i see her she hands me over so many gifts! She got me some earrings (i now have 8 pairs of green earrings all of different shades), a emerald-colour bag (which matches my last Eid outfit) and this kurta top from India. She showed me all her outfits that she got from India- that place is amazing for clothes! She met loadsa stars from Star+ soaps...dunno who they are. And she met Diya Mirza (bollywood actress). Think i wanna go to India again...and this time Bombay. We went as a family when i was 10yrs old and at that time i was a boy so didn't appreciate clothes at all!! All i loved at that age was my Newcastle United Tshirt that i lived in for the whole holiday!! All i did that whole wkend with Fatima was eat, eat, eat!! We also went to see a film. There was nothing on in the cinema so we ended up watching Prenonition(sandra Bullock)- its a load of pants!! On sunday i met up with Fudge which was nice. Went to Kebabish and jst chit-chatted. She then had to go to work so i finally got to see the other girls! We then went to Sizzlers (new place on Wimslow Road where Darbar used to be)...it was ok. The place is done up very nice but the food wasn't all that great! Satyed up until Fajr with the girls...again just chatting away, looking for ppl on facebook, drinking tea... missed that kinda stuff!!! Hope the girls have a party before they leave!!(hint hint Syra)
