parents arenow definitely going away on the 2nd August till 7th September. Should i go to Bangladesh for 3weeks? Cosi could go...finish seminars on the 1st August and exams are not until end of August/first wk of Sept?!! Allow...have to sort out my move back home to Mcr!! Also gotta tell my parents i got a place at Mcr!!
Went to a funeral on Sunday- it was a really strange experience. Cos i dont think ive been to one in a very long time!! It was at the Bengali mosque and the womens area was surprisingly tiny. Nearlymissed the Zhur jamaat but caught it in the last Fatiha...and then finished it off accordingly, towhich the other women were looking at me strangely! Then came the dreaded funeralprayer! I didn't know it. I felt like such a fool and a bigger hypocrite. What have i learnt in the 4years i have been practicing?!! Nobody knew what to do...and there wasn't any men infront of us for us to follow. We all just did our own thing so to speak. Such a FOOL. I then went to the graveyard with the deceaseds' daughter-in-law. Wasn't quite sure of the Fiqhof women going to graveyards but thought there can only be benefit to me going inshaAllah. It was quite an experience and its amazing how much you do recall death and death of loved one when you're there. It was quite emotional. Think i realised how much of a bad daughter i have been over the last few months....kinda puts things into perspective. Think all people should have monthly visits to the grave.

i'm assuming you're a hanafi? for women, it takes the same ruling as salatul jumu'a - you don't have to pray it but it is validif you do. generally women (in hanafi mathab) don't attend janaza salaat, but here is the method: http://www.islamicacademy.org/html/Learn_Now/English/Funeral_Salah.htm

Assalamu alaykum
Make istikhara on whether you should go. Might be essential bonmding material for later use and benefit...? You need to get a move on or move on...!
