nearly died!
oh my goodness...nearly died on Sunday!!I cant write as well as i speak...well, not with 'stories' atleast! So, went to SE London (Mile End) on Sunday with my cousin and her husband to see more cousins who have come from the States. They then tell us that they wanna take us Go-Karting. Once we got there i thought "ooh, hope my skirt doesn't get caught!". My cousin had the same problem so both of us were extra cautious about our skirts! Alhamdullilah i had a denim skirt so it didn't fly about!
One lap done i overtook my cousin who had smacked onto the side. Second lap (obviously having been overtaken by the boys!) my head gets tugged back very hard. I realise that my hijaab got trapped in the back wheel. It kept pulling obviously as the vehicle was moving so i braked! Once i stopped i was still being strangled by my scarf so was fearful that someone might just come hit the back of me and then there goes my head.
ALhamdullilah a steward came as soon as he could and realised that my scarf was stuck. Couldn't take off my helmet cos of safety regulations but the guy asked me to take off my hijaab so i could atleast get out of the car. OMG!!!OMG!!!OMG!!! i was s***ing myself cos there weere actually so many guys there and not only my cousins who had seen me without hijaab when i was younger but my cousins' cousins were there who are strangers...and obviously nonmehram!! Anyway...told the asian steward i didnt want to take it off if that was possible so he suggested they cut it off. All the stewards then pushed the car back and my hijaab was free. I could breathe again!! I just wanted to get off the circuit- you really do go into shock when you have a crash...i didnt want to go back on later either!
Went to the bathrrom to fix what-was-left-of-my-hijjab and checkthe damage. Had a huge bruise on my neck like someone had strangled me. Thank God i had a spare hijaab in my bag so i changed my hjaab when i got to my aunts house.
Now I have a huge bruise on my neck...apparently it looks like ive been in a fight (according to my brother). My sisters thinks im goona die in my sleep... my back hurts too!! Thats the last time i go Go-Karting!!!
