SILK ties
omg,omg,omg...just spoke to my cousin and she was asking whether her husband could exchange his GOLD ring for a white gold one, or even platinum. I couldn't remember why gold wasn't allowed and whether the reason was because of its worth , etc which would apply to white gold and platinum... anyway, think she's gonna get silver cos then she can just keeps the rest of the money and Sylhetis will think platinum and white gold are the same as silver anyway!! So this got me thinking that SILK is also forbidden for men to wear in dunya, right?! So what do men do about ties? My dad has a billion and one ties...and they're all silk...you can't get ties made from other material can u?

I think you can get synthetic ones but I doubt your dad would be seen dead in one of those. Hardcores don't wear ties anyway cos theyre a symbol of western oppression or something anyway.
Silver sounds nice.

silver is nice...and its like a huge band for huge fingers that men have!
synthetic...i dont think i like the sound of that either.

You can get non silk ties - they're nylon or something. I don't think anyone would notice to be honest. They have nice ones in some department stores like Next and Debenhams.
But yes, the nicer ones are silk.

My loving wife just bought me a non silk satin tie from Jaan J. - The Home of Non Silk Cotton Ties and it feels and looks exactly like silk, without being silk. A week later I purchased one of their new narrow cotton ties. Jaan J. is awesome!!!
